Our hand-rolled sardine meatballs, loving referred to as 'smooches,' are made with love by three sisters in Maine.

A cozy treat for dogs who deserve connection, comfort, and a little something special.

At Wells Belles, hygge is more than a vibe, it’s our dogma.

Rooted in comfort, coziness, and simple joy, hygge is about creating the feeling of home, wherever you are. Whether your pup is on vacation at a doggie inn or curled up beside you on the couch, they deserve warmth, connection, and a treat that feels like love.

That’s why we make our Smooches meatballs: real, fresh food crafted to nourish the body and soothe the furry soul.

Because hygge is that safe, satisfied, at-ease feeling, and no one understands that better than a dog.

Ingredients:

D'Ameri Farm beef - Gray, Maine

Depending on season may use Pineland Farms, Caldwell Farms or others nearby

Local fresh eggs (various farms in Freeport/Durham, or our own flock!)

Organic almond flour

Organic shredded carrots (or other in-seasonveggies) 

Sustainably sourced wild petite sardines

Love (always an extra heaping of this secret ingredient)

A Labor of Love (and Crumbs)

Wells Belles was dreamed up by our three daughters, lifelong lovers of snacks, crumbs, and dogs. What started as a Valentine’s Day project (a batch of sardine meatballs they proudly named Smooches) quickly turned into a full-blown mission: to spread cozy, healthy, handmade love to as many dogs as possible.

Every Smooch is made by hand in our home kitchen - mixed, rolled, and baked by the girls themselves in a true professional labor of love. They especially delight in watching the photos of pups at Brown Dog Inn, inventing stories about each dog and imagining them receiving their treats with a tail wag and a bedtime meatball kiss!

To them, every Smooch is a little spark of joy.
